The Continental Refrigeration CFA68-D worktop freezer has a side-mounted refrigeration system that cools with R-404A refrigerant and provides uniform airflow with interior fans. This unit has electronic controls to change the temperature, and there is a thermometer hanging inside the cabinet for monitoring. Temperatures are kept low by 2 inches of polyurethane insulation that minimize cold air loss, and if the temperature does rise, an expansion valve system recovers it quickly for efficiency.
Storage in the Continental Refrigeration CFA68-D worktop freezer is provided by four drawers and a single door, each sealed shut with magnetic gaskets to stop air loss. The door self-closes, so if staff leave it open, wasted energy is reduced. For durability, the front, top, and end panels of this freezer are made of stainless steel and the evaporator coil is plasticized to prevent rusting while soaking up moisture. The 68-inch worktop provides plenty of space for prepping, slicing, and performing other kitchen tasks.
