To maximize production without occupying additional floorspace, the Blodgett 981DOUBLE NG deck-type oven features two cooking compartments that measure 42 inches wide by 32 inches deep by 7 inches high each. Overall, this unit measures 60 inches wide by 40 inches deep by 6813/16 inches high; its durable, rust- and corrosion-resistant stainless steel exterior has a full angle iron frame to preserve its structural rigidity over time. Operators can access the cooking compartments using the counterbalanced doors, while the burner can be accessed through the burner doors for cleaning, ignition, or adjustment. To reduce the risk of wobbling or rocking, its 7-inch stainless steel legs can be adjusted to stabilize the unit on uneven flooring.

Powered by gas, the Blodgett 981DOUBLE NG deck oven features a free-floating, removable duplex-tube burner; operators can modify temperatures from 200 to 500 degrees Fahrenheit using the liquid-pressure thermostat. As many as (48) 10-inch pie tins or (96) 91/2-inch by 5-inch bun pans can be placed on the compartments’ 12-gauge aluminized steel decks. This surface is more economical than stone decks while heating quickly and efficiently-ideal for consecutive baking. Fiber insulation built into the top, back, sides, bottom, and doors helps preserve programmed temperatures if the unit is stored in cool ambient areas or when the doors are opened for product loading and retrieval.
