The Garland SHDUCL10000655 commercial induction cooktop provides energy efficiency and quick response times. It has to be used with induction-ready cookware-this includes any pot or pan made with iron. When the pan is placed on the cooktop, it comes in contact with a magnetic field created by induction coils. This field makes the electrons in the pan vibrate and create friction, generating heat with which chefs can cook.

The 14.76-inch by 28.35-inch cooking surface on this Garland SHDUCL10000655 drop-in induction range is split into two independent cooking sections. The temperature of these areas can be adjusted with the rotary dial, which has 12 power levels to choose from. Because an electronic monitoring system is built into the unit, the glass, induction coils, heat sink, and electrical parts are prevented from overheating. The cooktop drops into a cutout in countertops, perfect for modular applications.
