Using Active Sense technology and an acoustical ice probe, the Manitowoc Ice IYT0900W/D970 Indigo NXT half-cube ice machine regulates cube thickness to put out a consistent batch every time. The door to the bin stays open and is angled at 53 degrees for optimum scooping, while the scoop has a molded retaining lip for maximum capacity and can be stored in the built-in holder. Because the bin and ice machine have a DuraTech exterior, they resist smudges and dirt.
The Manitowoc Ice IYT0900W/D970 commercial ice maker can be programmed to turn off at a set time to conserve energy and save money. Ice production volume is controlled with an icon-based touchscreen display, and this maker is refrigerated using a water-cooled system, which takes time and significant amounts of water to set up but will provide excellent efficiency. For optimal performance, this unit runs diagnostics and preventive maintenance 24 hours per day.
