The Southbend S24E S-series restaurant range has four cast iron, non-clog burners that run on 24,000 BTUs. To catch debris and grease, a crumb drawer sits under the burners and easily removes to make cleaning it simple. Cast iron grates cover the burners, and the rear grate can hold up to a 14-inch stock pot. A 4-inch, stainless steel front rail helps prevent operators from getting burned and provides a place for plates to sit on when food is being plated.
The metal knobs that control the range’s burners have red stripes on them that make it easier for operators to identify and control heat levels. The oven exterior is fitted with a spring door with a chrome handle, and the interior is insulated with self-supporting rock wool. The snap action thermostat has a range of 175 to 550 degrees Fahrenheit. There is one removable rack that has two position rack guides inside the oven.
